Welcome to Year 4!
Welcome to Year 4! In Year 4 we have a fab team who all work together to ensure your children reach their full potential whilst enjoying school! I’m Miss Craven and I work alongside Miss Pope, Mrs Mitchell and Miss Treadwell. On our page you will find lots of useful websites and links to support learning, as well as updates on our current topics!
We believe that an open door policy is the best policy, so if you would like to discuss your child's progress or take a look at work in their book, please come to see me at the end of the day.
We look forward to working with you and the children during the next 12 months!

For the first half term we have been looking at the novel The Firework Makers Daughter. We have read the book together and explore the text fully. We have discussed character, setting and plot. We have also explored word choices and found great examples we can use in our work.
The Cloud Makers Son
We are now in the process of writing our own story called The Cloud Makers Son. We are basing our story on the animation below. Our main focus is ensuring our writing is full of description and great vocabulary. We have worked on adding a range of adjectives adverbs and fronted adverbials. The children have made an incredible start to their stories and we are all excited to read the finished product.
